It's Independence Day dammitall!

Yes, the calendar on the wall is clear that today is the 4th of July. It's the 4th of July everywhere in the world that uses the Gregorian calendar but only here in America is this particular day in July Independence Day. So could we call it that please?
I should not that I'm sitting at my dinner table right now with a fresh breeze and Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA blowing in my window. We are just a few blocks up the hill from the city park where many festicities will be taking place and they have a dandy public address system down there so we can hear the fun.
Anyway, it is Independence Day and I hope each of you find a way to celebrate it with family and friends. Be proud to be an American, it is an exceptional privilege.
